Politicians tend to forget they represent the people. They tend to
forget the value of individual human life. They tend to think people
exist to serve the government. Educators tend to forget they are to
educate students to think and speak critically and objectively about
events. To make matters worse, some corporations think people exist to
serve the bottom line of the corporation: making money for the
investors. Politicians, educators, and corporations assume a position of
absolute power. Their attitudes toward their constituents betray their
assumptions of power and desires to control people.
